India whitewashed West Indies 2-0 in the Test Series at the Caribbean Islands. India leads the ICC Test Championship with 120 points. This is Virat Kohli’s 28th win as the Test captain of the Indian Cricket Team. And with this win, Virat Kohli has statistically proven that he is indeed the most successful test captain.
India dominated West Indies and clinched the series convincingly. But this win against West Indies was of more significance to the captain because this has helped Virat Kohli break Ms Dhoni’s test captaincy record. He currently has played 49 test matches as the captain and won 28 of them.
Virat has constantly faced tremendous heat from critics for his lackluster captaincy in the other two formats of the game. He hasn’t managed to lift a single multi-nation trophy after being appointed as the captain of the ODI and T20 side. Also Virat is criticized for his captaincy record in IPL as the RCB captain. However, he has a surprisingly good record in the longest format of the game.
