Hello! and warm greetings to each and everyone of you all! Welcome back to another article, and we hope that you are doing fantastic and we hope that you liked our previous article on IPL. So in this article we will be discussing about the upcoming series against the heavy-weights team Australia, India will be in a good momentum to take on the guests as they very recently defeated Sri Lanka with a lot of conviction in the T20 series, but the tables can quickly turn-around for the hosts against such a solid team like Australia. Australia who showed so much solidarity against the New-Zealanders by beating them hands down in the test matches. But India will also have the added home advantage to go with a sound and confident setup. Well, India might want to forget the previous series against Australia, as the hosts made a scintillating come-back in the series after bearing 2 losses in the initial games in the 5 match ODI series, but they managed to come back from behind and capture all the remaining fixtures in their favour (Final series scorecard 3-2) and deservingly so got their hands on their hands on the ODI Cup. But in return India did have the better of them in the 2019 World Cup

India would definitely not want the history to repeat itself over again, and Yes it does promises to be a high-scoring series with India taking on the hosts our very own Wankhede stadium in the 1st ODI of the series, which again promises to be a belter of a pitch which would favour the batters more then the bowlers, so that will be an adage to an already exciting series. It might be just a 3 match ODI series before India go on for a long haul tour against New-Zealand, but it will not cut-short any kind of enthusiasm amongst the fans and the players, will if India is to bag this series then they got to be on their toes at all the times as Australia has the reputation of batting deep, and they an abundance of all-rounders and great fielders to add-on to their arsenal, so the team selection for India will be extremely pivotal and the batting and bowling combination will be of a paramount importance, as Aus won’t allow the Indian players to settle down for even a bit if they get going right from the outset. So Kohli and Co. can’t afford to cut corners and afford to be casual at any stage of the game.

Yes! and how can we forgot to mention about the two legends of the Australian team – David Warner and Steven Smith, that adds even more of a headache for Kohli and his team, as it will require some calibre and dexterity on the part of the bowlers to get the better of this two, as they are very much the backbone of the Australian team. Well, both the teams have got the freedom to experiment amongst their players as both of them have excellent bench strength, even some of the not very well known players can turn the game on its head big time, as this game is already filled with uncertainty. Well to prove that, we did see how exceedingly well did Marnus Labuschagne showcased himself in the tests against NZ, his stroke-play and temperament exerted a lot of confidence within the team, but he and other batsman needs to develop a good camaraderie with the batting conditions in India and set-up to the game as Australia also can’t to be over-confident in their own right irrespective of their recent performances as different series posses a different challenge, and Wankhede is also known to have red soil in its pitch and is known to favour the spinners more then then seamers.

Finch as the captain will have to access the pitch very closely, Smith and Warner will have a good idea of it, as they played and experienced a lot of cricket in India all thanks to IPL, but in the end it will depend on the curator and the groundsmen, as the pitch and the cracks tends to expand and contract according to seasonal variations. Well, according to us Australia will like to bat first and put up an above par score and the rest is up-to their Lanky bowlers like Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins to get rid of the top-order, but this will again heavily depend on the toss and Kohli’s call if he wins the toss.

Both the players have proved their stakes, but this series is a crucial turning point for them

Well India will also place a lot of expectations ans stakes on the performances of the new-comers like Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur,Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dubey as this can be a test of patience and could showcase their batting potentials in different situations. India also have a backing in the form of their senior players like Shami, Bumrah, Rohit, Dhawan and of-course Kohli. India will be dearly missing the bowling services of Deepak Chahar , as he has an aggravated back injury which he sustained during a one-day match played against the Windies, he will likely be out of the scene till the month of April. But it can be well-compensated by players like Bumrah and Shami. Lets have a brief look at both the squads –

India – Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma (VC), Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shikar Dhawan, Shivam Dube, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), K.L. Rahul, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav.

Australia – Aaron Finch (C), Alex Carey (VC & WK), Pat Cummins (vc), Ashton Agar, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazzlewood, Marcus Labuschagne, Kane Richardson, D’Arcy Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

Kohli will have a task on his hand especially after Australia dominated India last year in their own den.

Well, it does promise to be an absorbing and exhilarating series for both the teams, to put it simply, it’s the best v/s best, the team which will have the right strategy and the confidence to excel under pressure will ace the most hardest barriers and come up trumps to win the coveted series. Well, we have done a lot of research behind this article to bring out the best analysis of the series, and the key players who will be instrumental for the success of the respective teams.
